Transfer Credit
Veni Creator Christian University recognizes the value of prior learning and offers generous transfer credit policies to help students accelerate their degree completion while avoiding unnecessary duplication of coursework.
Transfer Credit Eligibility
You may be eligible to transfer credits from previously attended accredited institutions, provided the coursework meets VCCU's academic standards and aligns with your chosen program of study.
Transfer Credit Limits
- Undergraduate Programs: Transfer up to 75% of required credits for bachelor's degree programs
- Graduate Programs: Transfer up to 60% of required credits for master's degree programs
- Doctoral Programs: Transfer up to 50% of required credits for doctoral programs, subject to program-specific policies
Transfer Credit Process
Step 1: Request Official Transcripts
Obtain official transcripts from all previously attended institutions. Transcripts must be sent directly from the issuing institution to VCCU's Registrar's Office.
Step 2: Submit Transfer Credit Application
Complete the Transfer Credit Evaluation Form available in our Admission Forms Download Center.
Step 3: Course-by-Course Evaluation
Our academic team will conduct a detailed evaluation of each course to determine equivalency and applicability to your VCCU program.
Step 4: Receive Evaluation Report
You will receive a comprehensive transfer credit evaluation report outlining which credits have been accepted and how they apply to your degree requirements.
Step 5: Accept or Appeal
Review your evaluation report and accept the credits or appeal any decisions within 14 days of receipt.
Transfer Credit Criteria
Credits will be considered for transfer if they meet the following criteria:
- Accredited Institution: Coursework completed at regionally accredited or recognized international institutions
- Minimum Grade: Courses completed with a grade of "C" or better (2.0 on 4.0 scale) for undergraduate; "B" or better (3.0 on 4.0 scale) for graduate
- Relevance: Course content aligns with VCCU program requirements and learning objectives
- Recency: Coursework completed within the past 10 years (exceptions may be made for foundational courses)
- Non-Duplication: Courses not previously used to satisfy degree requirements at another institution

Before applying, you can request a free unofficial credit evaluation to estimate how many credits may transfer. This service helps you plan your educational pathway and understand potential time and cost savings.
Credit for Prior Learning (CPL)
VCCU also offers Credit for Prior Learning opportunities through:
- Professional Certifications: Industry-recognized certifications may qualify for academic credit
- Work Experience: Significant professional experience may be assessed for credit through portfolio evaluation
- Ministry Experience: Extensive ministry service and training may qualify for theological or ministry-related credits
